Quantum's fully equipped Laboratory is furnished with State of the Art equipment, including one of the few Privately owned Electron Microscopes in New Zealand, Varian Fast Sequential FS 220 Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometers, Unicam 929 AA plus the most-up-to-date specialised analytical equipment for feed and soil assays available.
Unlike other Laboratories in New Zealand, Quantum has no affiliation with fertiliser companies or product salesmen.

WATER ANALYSIS - not only is the standard water test available, the lesser used tests are also offered on request. Quantum Lab's offer a water analysis to suit your situation, personalised to your property. Tests include sulphates, phosphates, nitrates and all trace elements including Boron, Iron, Manganese, Copper, Zinc and Aluminium. Other tests that are available include heavy metals, solids and bacteria.
SOIL ANALYSIS - Each analysis comes complete with a bar chart showing results and recommendations, plus estimated costings. Nutrient Plant Holding Capacity (C.E.C.) and major trace elements are expressed in Kgs/ Hectare of Desired Value, Value Found and Deficit. Measurements of the soil Humus content enables the grower to take full advantage of soil biological nitrogen fixation potential.
ANIMAL NUTRITION - along with professional agronomic advice, you will receive advice in all aspects concerning nutrient feed quality and conversion potential. Our laboratory conducts one of the most comprehensive assays of feeds available, outlining the total digestible nutrients, nett energy and returns per dollar to the farmer. Feeding additional specialised supplements giving best possible conversion potential ensures on-going health of your animals and maximising reproduction, weight gain, meat, wool or milk production.
PLANT ANALYSIS - is a further service offered by Quantum Lab's. Samples should be forwarded to the laboratory and full analytical details will then be forwarded to you.
